Lionello Venturi

Lionello Venturi was an influential Italian art historian and critic, known for his work on Renaissance and modern art. He was a prominent figure in the development of art history as a discipline and contributed significantly to the study of Impressionism and Post-Impressionism. Venturi was also known for his opposition to the Fascist regime in Italy, which led to his exile during the 1930s.
