Eileen Barker

Eileen Barker is a British sociologist and professor emeritus of sociology with special reference to the study of religion at the London School of Economics. She is known for her research on new religious movements and has been a prominent figure in the study of cults and sects, particularly through her work with INFORM (Information Network Focus on Religious Movements), which she founded in 1988.
