Rutherford J. Gettens

Rutherford John Gettens was an American chemist and conservation scientist known for his pioneering work in the field of art conservation. He was a key figure in the development of scientific methods for the analysis and preservation of artworks, and he co-authored the influential book 'Painting Materials: A Short Encyclopaedia' with George L. Stout.
