Ingrid Betancourt
Ingrid Betancourt is a Colombian politician, former senator, and anti-corruption activist. She gained international recognition after being kidnapped by the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) in 2002 and held captive for over six years before being rescued in 2008. Betancourt has also authored several books recounting her experiences and advocating for peace and human rights.
