Baltasar Lopes

Baltasar Lopes da Silva was a prominent Cape Verdean writer, poet, and linguist. He is best known for his novel 'Chiquinho', which is considered a classic of Cape Verdean literature. Lopes was also a co-founder of the Claridade movement, which played a crucial role in the cultural and literary development of Cape Verde.
