Jan Patočka

Jan Patočka was a Czech philosopher, one of the most important Central European philosophers of the 20th century. He was a key figure in phenomenology and existential philosophy, and his work focused on the philosophy of history, the nature of human existence, and the concept of freedom. Patočka was also a prominent dissident in Czechoslovakia and a signatory of Charter 77, a human rights manifesto.
