Garry Kasparov

Garry Kasparov is a Russian chess grandmaster, former world chess champion, writer, and political activist. He is considered one of the greatest chess players of all time, having held the world number one ranking for 255 months overall for his career. After retiring from professional chess in 2005, Kasparov became involved in Russian politics and human rights activism.
