Charles R. Saunders
Charles R. Saunders was a Canadian author and journalist, best known for his work in the fantasy genre. He is often credited with pioneering the 'sword and soul' subgenre, which combines elements of traditional sword and sorcery with African mythology and culture. His most famous creation is the character Imaro, a hero whose adventures are set in an alternate Africa.
