Muhammad Husayn Tabatabai
Muhammad Husayn Tabatabai was a prominent Iranian philosopher, theologian, and commentator of the Quran. He is best known for his Tafsir al-Mizan, a comprehensive exegesis of the Quran. Tabatabai was a leading figure in the intellectual and spiritual life of the Shia community in the 20th century.
