J. C. Masterman

John Cecil Masterman was a British author, academic, and intelligence officer. He is best known for his role in the Double-Cross System during World War II, which was instrumental in counter-espionage efforts against Nazi Germany. Masterman also served as a professor of history and later as the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Oxford.
