William Caxton
William Caxton was an English merchant, diplomat, and writer who is best known for introducing the printing press to England in 1476. He was the first English retailer of printed books and played a crucial role in the development of English literature by printing and publishing a wide range of texts, including Chaucer's 'The Canterbury Tales.'
