Thomas de Cantimpre

Thomas de Cantimpré was a Flemish Catholic theologian and writer known for his works on natural history and hagiography. He was a member of the Dominican Order and is best known for his encyclopedic work 'Liber de natura rerum' (Book on the Nature of Things), which was influential in medieval scholarship.
