Darlene Deibler Rose
Darlene Deibler Rose was an American missionary known for her work in the Dutch East Indies during World War II. She was the first American woman to enter the Baliem Valley of New Guinea, and she endured four years in a Japanese prison camp during the war. Her experiences are recounted in her autobiography, 'Evidence Not Seen'.
