N. Jack "Dusty" Kleiss
Norman Jack 'Dusty' Kleiss was a United States Navy aviator during World War II. He is best known for his participation in the Battle of Midway, where he played a significant role as a dive bomber pilot. Kleiss was one of the few pilots to score hits on multiple Japanese ships during the battle, contributing to the pivotal American victory. After the war, he continued to serve in the Navy and later worked as an engineer.
