Epícteto

Epictetus was a Greek Stoic philosopher. Born a slave, he gained his freedom and became a prominent teacher of Stoicism in Rome and later in Greece. His teachings were recorded by his pupil Arrian in works such as the 'Discourses' and the 'Enchiridion'.
