Usamah ibn Munqidh
Usamah ibn Munqidh was a medieval Muslim poet, author, and knight from Syria. He is best known for his autobiography, 'Kitab al-I'tibar' (The Book of Contemplation), which provides a unique perspective on the Crusades and life in the medieval Islamic world.
