Thomas Malory

Sir Thomas Malory was a 15th-century English writer, best known for his work 'Le Morte d'Arthur', a compilation of Arthurian legends that serves as one of the most important and influential works in the Arthurian tradition. Malory's work has been a source for many modern retellings of the Arthurian myths. His exact birth and death dates are uncertain, but he is believed to have lived from c. 1415–1471. His life was marked by a series of political and military involvements, and he spent a significant amount of time in prison, where it is speculated that he may have composed parts of 'Le Morte d'Arthur'.
