American playwright and screenwriter best known for the Pulitzer Prize finalist Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo; his plays include Guards at the Taj and Gruesome Playground Injuries. A former Peace Corps volunteer in Senegal, he earned an MFA from NYU and co-wrote the film Draft Day.
