Barbosa Lessa

Brazilian writer, folklorist, and cultural organizer from Rio Grande do Sul; a leading figure of the gaúcho traditionalist movement, he researched and promoted regional folklore, authored fiction and essays, helped organize major nativist music festivals, and held public cultural roles in the state.
