Gil Fronsdal

Norwegian-born American Buddhist teacher, author, and translator; founder and guiding teacher of the Insight Meditation Center in Redwood City, California. Trained in both Theravada Vipassana and Soto Zen, he holds a PhD in Buddhist Studies from Stanford and is known for translations such as The Dhammapada and The Buddha Before Buddhism.
