J.G.A. Pocock

John Greville Agard Pocock was a New Zealand-born American historian of political thought, a leading figure of the Cambridge School, and longtime professor at Johns Hopkins University. He is best known for The Machiavellian Moment and influential studies on republicanism, Gibbon, Harrington, and the languages of political discourse.
