1. The Making Of The Bible
From the First Fragments to Sacred Scripture
This study traces how disparate writings, produced over centuries in ancient Israel and the early Jesus movement, gradually became scripture. It follows the shift from oral traditions to written texts, the editorial and translation processes (including the Septuagint), the roles of empires and communities, and the eventual canonization of the Hebrew Bible and New Testament. Drawing on archaeology and textual criticism, it presents the Bible as a historically contingent anthology shaped by scribes, redactors, and changing religious needs.
