Friedrich Waismann

Austrian philosopher of mathematics and language, member of the Vienna Circle and close interlocutor of Ludwig Wittgenstein; later worked in Oxford. He explored verification, meaning, and the "open texture" of empirical concepts; notable for The Principles of Linguistic Philosophy (published posthumously).
