Herbert Feigl

Herbert Feigl was an Austrian-born American philosopher of science and a prominent member of the Vienna Circle. After emigrating to the United States, he taught at the University of Iowa and the University of Minnesota, where he co-founded the Minnesota Center for Philosophy of Science. A leading figure in logical empiricism, he is well known for defending the mind–body identity theory, notably in his work The 'Mental' and the 'Physical' (1958).
