  1. 1. The Pentateuch

A concise synthesis of Pentateuchal scholarship, this study reassesses traditional source theories, critiques the classic Documentary Hypothesis, and advances a revised supplementary model of composition. It contends that a core narrative was shaped in the exilic period, rejects a distinct Elohist source, and interprets Deuteronomic and Priestly materials as later supplements added for historiographic, legal, and theological purposes within an ancient Near Eastern context.
