J.A. Sethian

American mathematician and computational scientist, professor at the University of California, Berkeley and researcher at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, known for developing level-set methods and fast marching methods for tracking moving interfaces and other numerical algorithms in applied mathematics.
