Chester Wilmot

Chester Wilmot (1911–1954) was an Australian war correspondent, broadcaster, and writer. He reported on World War II from the front lines, including the campaigns in the Middle East and New Guinea. Wilmot is best known for his comprehensive book 'The Struggle for Europe', which details the military campaigns and political changes in Europe during the war. He tragically died in a plane crash in 1954.
