Carl Von Clausewitz

Carl Von Clausewitz was a Prussian general and military theorist who is most famous for his book 'On War' (Vom Kriege), which is considered one of the most important works on military strategy and tactics ever written. Born on June 1, 1780, in Burg bei Magdeburg, Prussia, Clausewitz served in the Prussian army and also held various important administrative and educational posts. His experiences in the Napoleonic Wars were influential in shaping his theoretical writings. Clausewitz's ideas on war, politics, and strategy continue to be studied in military academies around the world. He died on November 16, 1831, in Breslau, Prussia (now Wrocław, Poland).
