Carl E. Schorske

Carl E. Schorske was an American cultural historian and professor emeritus at Princeton University. He was born on March 15, 1915, and passed away on September 13, 2015. Schorske is best known for his book 'Fin-de-Siècle Vienna: Politics and Culture', which won the 1981 Pulitzer Prize for General Non-Fiction. His work focused on the history of culture and ideas, particularly in relation to Vienna and the beginning of the 20th century.
