Laurel Thatcher Ulrich

Laurel Thatcher Ulrich is an American historian and professor at Harvard University. She is known for her work in early American history and women's history. Ulrich gained recognition for her book 'A Midwife's Tale: The Life of Martha Ballard, Based on Her Diary, 1785-1812,' which won the Pulitzer Prize for History in 1991. She is also credited with the phrase 'Well-behaved women seldom make history,' which has become a popular feminist slogan.
