Michael Donaghy

Michael Donaghy was an American poet and musician, born in the Bronx, New York, in 1954. He was known for his erudite style, formal skill, and ability to blend traditional poetic forms with contemporary language. Donaghy moved to London in the 1980s, where he became a significant figure in the British poetry scene until his untimely death in 2004. His collections of poetry include 'Shibboleth,' 'Conjure,' and 'Errata.' In addition to his poetry, Donaghy was also a respected critic, editor, and teacher.
