Justin Cartwright

Justin Cartwright (1943 – 2018) was a British novelist and journalist. He was born in South Africa but later became a British citizen. Cartwright authored several novels, including 'In Every Face I Meet', which was shortlisted for the Booker Prize, and 'The Promise of Happiness', which won the 2005 Hawthornden Prize. His works are known for their complex characters and exploration of themes such as family dynamics, love, and the human condition.
