Edward Channing

Edward Channing (1856–1931) was a distinguished American historian and author best known for his comprehensive six-volume work, 'A History of the United States'. His scholarly contributions earned him the 1926 Pulitzer Prize for History for the fifth volume of this series. Channing's work focused on the political, social, and economic history of the United States, and he was a professor at Harvard University for many years.
