Bernadotte E. Schmitt

Bernadotte E. Schmitt (1886–1969) was an American historian known for his work on European history, particularly World War I and its origins. He was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for History in 1931 for his book 'The Coming of the War, 1914'. Schmitt was a professor at the University of Chicago and served as president of the American Historical Association.
