Herbert Agar

Herbert Agar (1897–1980) was an American journalist, editor, and author. He won the Pulitzer Prize for History in 1934 for his book 'The People's Choice,' which examines the evolution of American democracy. Agar was also known for his work as an editor at the Louisville Courier-Journal and for his involvement in the intellectual circle around President Franklin D. Roosevelt. His writings often reflected his interests in history, politics, and social issues.
