Sven Hedin

Sven Hedin was a Swedish geographer, topographer, explorer, photographer, travel writer, and illustrator of his own works. Born on February 19, 1865, he is known for his explorations of Central Asia, and his studies of the region's geography, culture, and history. Hedin's expeditions led to important archaeological and scientific discoveries, and he authored numerous books and articles detailing his findings. He passed away on November 26, 1952.
