Gonzalo de Berceo

Medieval Castilian cleric and poet from Berceo (La Rioja), one of the earliest known authors writing in the Castilian vernacular; best known for religious works such as Milagros de Nuestra Señora and other hagiographical and devotional verse associated with the monastery of San Millán de la Cogolla.
