Muammar Gaddafi

Libyan revolutionary and politician who was the de facto leader of Libya from 1969 until 2011; he led the Libyan Arab Republic and later the Great Socialist People's Libyan Arab Jamahiriya before being overthrown and killed during the 2011 civil war.
