Paul Tillich

German-American Protestant theologian and Christian existentialist philosopher (1886–1965), notable for his works in systematic theology (including a multi-volume Systematic Theology), the concept of 'ultimate concern', and influential writings such as The Courage to Be. He taught in Germany and the United States and was a major 20th-century theological thinker.
