Joseph P. Lash

Joseph P. Lash (1909–1987) was an American radical political activist, journalist, and author. He is best known for his close relationship with Eleanor Roosevelt and his books about her life, including 'Eleanor and Franklin' which won the Pulitzer Prize and the National Book Award. Lash was also a recipient of the Francis Parkman Prize for his work 'Eleanor: The Years Alone.' His writings contributed significantly to the historical understanding of the Roosevelt era and Eleanor Roosevelt's legacy.
