  1. 2. Dinheiro Queimado

Inspired by a notorious 1960s heist, the novel follows a group of bank robbers who flee with a huge haul and hole up in a cramped safe house in the Rio de la Plata region; as the police tighten the cordon, paranoia, rivalries and a tense romantic bond between two members unravel, and the narrative—assembled from police reports, journalistic fragments and intimate testimony—turns a violent crime into a meditation on loyalty, masculinity and the theatricality of criminal legend, culminating in a desperate, tragic showdown.
