Gregory White Smith

Gregory White Smith was an American author, best known for co-authoring the Pulitzer Prize-winning biography 'Jackson Pollock: An American Saga' with Steven Naifeh. The book was published in 1989 and was also a finalist for the National Book Award. Smith and Naifeh collaborated on many other projects, including a highly regarded biography of Vincent van Gogh titled 'Van Gogh: The Life.' Smith was also a lawyer and an entrepreneur, co-founding companies such as Best Lawyers that publish legal rankings. He passed away in 2014 after battling a brain tumor.
