  2. 2. I Versi Satanici

Two Indian expatriates survive a midair explosion and come back into a London where reality and dream blend: one becomes a celebrated film star haunted by angelic and demonic visions, the other drifts through life as an embattled immigrant confronting loss and identity. Interwoven with surreal dream-sequences that reimagine episodes from early Islamic history, the novel probes faith, exile, cultural belonging, and the power of storytelling through a mix of satire, magic realism, and political provocation.
