George Grossmith

English comedian, actor, writer and composer best known for creating many of the principal comic 'patter' roles in the original Gilbert and Sullivan operas with the D'Oyly Carte company; co-author (with his brother Weedon Grossmith) of The Diary of a Nobody and writer of comic sketches and songs.
