Indian spiritual teacher and mystic, widely known as Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh and later Osho; founder of the Rajneesh movement and its communities (notably an ashram in Pune and the Rajneeshpuram commune in Oregon), a controversial figure for his unconventional teachings and the legal and political conflicts surrounding his followers.
