James Hadley Chase

James Hadley Chase was an English writer. Born on December 24, 1906, in London, he was originally named René Lodge Brabazon Raymond. He was best known for his thriller novels, including the famous 'No Orchids for Miss Blandish'. His work was characterized by the American settings of his stories, tight plotting, and an unsentimental, fast-paced narrative. Chase's books were highly popular in their time and have been translated into various languages. He passed away on February 6, 1985.
