Marilyn French

Marilyn French (1929–2009) was an American author and feminist. She gained fame with her debut novel 'The Women's Room' published in 1977, which is considered a classic of feminist literature for its portrayal of women's lives and resistance to patriarchal society. French's work often explored themes of gender, power, and social structures, and she was also known for her non-fiction works on the history of women's oppression.
