James Welch

James Welch (1940–2003) was a Native American author and poet. He is best known for his contributions to Native American literature, particularly with his novel 'Fools Crow' (1986), which won several literary awards. Welch's work often focused on the history and experiences of the Blackfeet and A'aninin (Gros Ventre) peoples and the American West. His writing is celebrated for its lyrical prose, cultural insight, and deep understanding of human nature.
