Edmund Dulac

Edmund Dulac was a French-born, British naturalized magazine illustrator, book illustrator and stamp designer. Born on October 22, 1882, in Toulouse, France, Dulac moved to London early in his career where he gained fame as a prolific illustrator. He is known for his exquisite illustrations of fairy tales and other children's books, bringing to life stories with his distinctive style, characterized by rich colors and intricate details. His work includes illustrations for editions of 'The Arabian Nights,' 'The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam,' and 'The Tempest.' Dulac's legacy as one of the great illustrators of the early 20th century endures through his enchanting and imaginative artwork. He passed away on May 25, 1953, in London.
