Munro Leaf
Munro Leaf was an American author and illustrator of children's literature. He is best known for his book 'The Story of Ferdinand' (1936), a children's classic about a pacifist bull who would rather smell flowers than fight in bullfights. 1. Story of Ferdinand
The book tells the story of Ferdinand, a gentle, peace-loving bull living in Spain who would rather smell flowers than participate in bullfights. However, when five men come to choose the fiercest bull for a bullfight and Ferdinand is mistakenly selected, he must find a way to stay true to himself even in the face of danger and expectations.
